The Monument

Another HDR image, this time of one of Leeks most famous buildings, the Monument, built just after the first world war to commemorate the towns solders killed in that war, now the focal point of the town and one of its most striking features.

From one focal point to another, i have just had this sent through from 'The Coffee Clique' our local internet cafe.

Fluffy blankets, heaters and cosy-corners are our buzz words for this Autumn.

We have a range of delicious hearty home-made soups to warm your belly and soul, we have spicy tomato and sweet potato, coconut & chilli for the heat lovers and for those of you who like your comfort food as the nights draw in we have smooth root vegetable, mushroom & walnut and carrot & corriander.

We are also still doing our Saturday morning breafast menu which features a premium full english breakfast and the egg, cheese, smoked ham toastie which is becoming legendary!

The new winter warmer drinks menu is in production and I can confirm that it will include a new range of drinks called 'Hot Shots' ideal for those who need to grab & go. A shot of espresso with a flash of flavour, I can hightly recommend the Toasted Marshmallow Hot Shot...watch this space.

Also renowned as the only place other than my web site that you can by my work from!

  1. This is nice Brett. I like HDR as long as it isn't pushed beyond reality. You've done a good job of that. I've seen some that just over do it and lose a perfectly good photo.
