- Brett studied photography at Leek Collage, attaining both an ‘A’ level and a ‘Centra’ in Graphic Technology. He then went on to work locally in the photographic industry. He was an active member of Alsager Camera Club finishing his time there as chairman. After tiring of taking photographs to please competition judges, he left the club to concentrate his time on taking images that said more about the subject than the technical skill of the photographer. He won the ‘Britannia Art Award’ for 2005,2006 and 2008. His blog 365 to 42 was also Google Blog of note. His main body of work is divided between landscape and wildlife photography. Great building, such a shame it is abandoned and left to decay. The sad thing is that it is getting worse with still more pubs etc closing.

ReplyDeleteThat's a great looking Gothic building. Hope someone buys it and puts it to good use, rather than having it knocked down, which unfortunately tends to happen these days
ReplyDeleteLooks magical to me, specially covered in snow. A bit like the house in 'It's a Wonderful Life'. Hey Ho just imagining. Shame it's been left to rot.

i love this pub cracking building but unfortunately by the time i was old enough to enjoy it, it had become full of the undesirables which i kind of think was the reason why it shut. i do hope they dont knock it down its an iconic building in that part of leek.
