This seemingly uninteresting picture was taken opposite the spot that this shot was taken and show what work has been done, in the other shot i was standing by the hut looking back to this spot, over a number of railway lines and thorough a lot of trees, both now gone. Soon to be replace by a new railway line, part of the on going work to open up the whole line.

Where, may I ask are these new tracks? I know that Leek hasn't had a train station since the 1960's and the track to Rudyard Lake from Leek is now just a pathway. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteThis part of the track will connect Chedleton to the main line at stoke, there is talk of bringing the line closer to Leek, it could run to the back of the cattle market with no trouble.
