- Brett studied photography at Leek Collage, attaining both an ‘A’ level and a ‘Centra’ in Graphic Technology. He then went on to work locally in the photographic industry. He was an active member of Alsager Camera Club finishing his time there as chairman. After tiring of taking photographs to please competition judges, he left the club to concentrate his time on taking images that said more about the subject than the technical skill of the photographer. He won the ‘Britannia Art Award’ for 2005,2006 and 2008. His blog 365 to 42 was also Google Blog of note. His main body of work is divided between landscape and wildlife photography. That pub looks like something straight out of the 1950s! So much better than a Wetherspoons or a Yates or any other chain. A proper pub - and long may it reign!!!
ReplyDeleteA great image of a great pub(after many years in the doldrums) I really enjoy a drink in there now.The menu is a little too simple for most tastes but at least it is cooked on site and not some factory in Swindon like the Engine Rooms!

What a lovely photo of a lovely pub,we eat here regularly the chef produces some very good food.Glad you chose to photgraph such a fine example of an owner operated pub in these `chain store`times.
