Right in the very centre of Leek on Derby street sits the Cock inn. Unlike the Moss Rose this pub has been visited by me many times over the years.

A photograph a day taken in and around Leek and the Staffordshire moorlands
Brett, you seem to know all the best "pale ale" places in town! Lovely photo of Joule's Brewery!
ReplyDeleteAnother great old brick building too.
ReplyDeleteNice place and building (as yesterdays shot too)
ReplyDeleteI think the colors are too bright sometimes.
That pub looks like something straight out of the 1950s! So much better than a Wetherspoons or a Yates or any other chain. A proper pub - and long may it reign!!!
ReplyDeleteA great image of a great pub(after many years in the doldrums) I really enjoy a drink in there now.The menu is a little too simple for most tastes but at least it is cooked on site and not some factory in Swindon like the Engine Rooms!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing this shot with us
What a lovely photo of a lovely pub,we eat here regularly the chef produces some very good food.Glad you chose to photgraph such a fine example of an owner operated pub in these `chain store`times.
