- Brett studied photography at Leek Collage, attaining both an ‘A’ level and a ‘Centra’ in Graphic Technology. He then went on to work locally in the photographic industry. He was an active member of Alsager Camera Club finishing his time there as chairman. After tiring of taking photographs to please competition judges, he left the club to concentrate his time on taking images that said more about the subject than the technical skill of the photographer. He won the ‘Britannia Art Award’ for 2005,2006 and 2008. His blog 365 to 42 was also Google Blog of note. His main body of work is divided between landscape and wildlife photography. ReplyDeleteLove the effect of the different curtains on the top floor. Makes it feel like there's a different story behind each one.
ReplyDeleteI loved working in here when I was 15 and it was Hartleys grocers. I remember my first day when it was still set out as a traditional grocers with a deli counter in as you walked in on the right and fruit & veg as you went further up the shop, which we served to our customers. My first job was to clean the glass behing the veg displays and I broke a pane on my first day. Loved it. Interior has changed somewhat since then.
ReplyDeleteIt used to be Hartleys? Pity - I thought perhaps it had been one of the original Home and Colonial shops that I remember from many years ago!
