Great picture. I knew a Mrs Massey who lived there as a child. Her grandparents brought her (and her 6 siblings) up. Their mother and father both died young - he drowned, she died in childbirth with her 7th child.
No electricity or running water; they walked to Kingsley Holt each day to school.
Oh my, if I had a place like that I would never leave home!
ReplyDeleteDitto, I feel so relaxed just looking at it. Brilliant photo Brett. Linda
ReplyDeleteThis is absolutely beautiful! I would love to live in a place like this.
ReplyDeleteWonderful photo too, especially with the reflection.
This brings to mind George Eliot’s novel, The Mill on the Floss. I can just imagine some high drama set here in the 1700s.
ReplyDeleteExceptional, even by your sublime standards.
ReplyDeleteWhat a stunning location! Lovely house, lovely photo. Again!
ReplyDeleteditto all of the above!
