St Edward Street, Leek part 3

I'm going to take you on a walk up St Edward street in Leek, in reality the walk will only take 5 mins, but here i'll spread it over 8 days, day 3.

We have at last set foot on the street, and opposite us is the Quiet Woman, yet another pub, the story goes that the woman in question was a serving girl who over heard a secret and to shut her up they cut off her head. The biggest surprise is inside, the old yard has been roofed over giveing the place a most fantastic space.

This is the other side of the road from yesterday looking at the bottom of St Edward Street at the left of the picture, the building taking up most of the shot is the Unicorn pub.

This is the start of the walk at the bottom of the hill by the traffic lights, St Edward street is the road heading up by that blue car.

A Random building

Just down from the old police station in Leek is the building, how many diffrent styles can you get in one place.

Not your typical Leek car, but it looked so cool i had to photograph it.

Shopping time

Just an ordinary card shop on Derby street in Leek, but look above the shop front at the fantastic building it is in.

Coffee time

For all you non drinkers out there, just up the street from the Mucky Duck, a sun lit cafe.

My 400th post on this blog! To celebrate a picture of a pub that is still a pub, The Black Swan in Leek, more affectionately known as the Mucky Duck. I spent quite a few Saturday afternoons in here when i was just 18, having lunch and planning the night ahead, great days.

Traveller's Rest Flash bar

Right next door the the store pictured on Saturday. Both buildings form part of Flash bar right on the the very edge of the Staffordshire Moorlands.

Flash Bar consists of The Traveller's Rest, a farm, a traditional telephone box and, according to the sign over the door, "Staffordshire's highest store, 1,540 ft (474 m) above sea level".
