A proper toy shop, just like the ones i loved as a child, this one is a relative new comer to Leek, all the ones i loved have long gone. Can you see the black stone in the right hand corner, laid by Stanley Howard Burton in 1934 it marks the corner of one of those hidden gems on the high street, so hidden i've only just noticed it and will have to get a shot of the whole building to tell it's story.

First's

Well here are a number of first. The first time I posted a picture of myself (see my other blog), the first time my bandwidth runs out and the first time I’m let down by my photo hosting site. It just so happens that they all occur while I’m on holiday and unable to do anything about them. Add to that list, the first time I post without a picture, just so I can let you know that I am working to resume normal service as quickly as possible.

The old kilns at the foot of kiln lane, this is a great example of how to turn a desert into a garden, see this post from before.
